My mom asked me the other day..."what day are you planning to dye Easter eggs with the kids?" my reply: "pencil that in your calendar for the day after never." Call me a bad mom, if you must...but no, I've never done it with my kids.I have find memories of it as a kid, but the thought of vinegar, permanent dye, and small breakable objects that resemble balls just didn't go over well in my head. By the time I thought E was old enough to appreciate it, Jack came along...and I guess probably this year I was banking on him (me) not being up for the challenge yet. Regardless of my apprehension, Nana (and Aunt Barb) was ready for that challenge. I must say, that the egg dying festivities went off without a hitch until the end...while I was waiting patiently for the finished products to go on display for a photo....and my camera battery died...and I can't find my charger. I guess the better documented memories are of them enjoying themselves...not the actual eggs that will be eaten soon.
